Freeman to enter NFL draft (Update)

Josh Freeman and Ron Prince seemingly came to K-State together three years ago. Now, the pair will exit together as well, as junior quarterback Josh Freeman said Thursday he will enter the 2009 NFL draft. “I’ve done all the research,” Freeman told ESPN’s Joe Schad.

Pennies for Peace raises $3,500

    The Pennies for Peace campaign, which began about two months ago at K-State, ended recently, having raised a total of about $3,500.     The campaign started after freshmen in the University Honors Program read the novel “Three Cups of Tea” by Greg Mortenson.

    Women move to 13-0 with dominating performance

    The K-State women’s basketball team finished off its nonconference schedule Saturday afternoon as they defeated Central Arkansas 81-38 and protected its perfect record heading into conference play. The Wildcats (13-0) were lead by the performance of Ashley Sweat, who scored a team-high 15 points.

    Foreign countries taking steps to counteract terrorism

    Hearing of death and destruction abroad comes as no surprise to Americans. While the people of this country become numb to terrorism, families in other parts of the world lose loved ones every day. Hopefully the arrest of members of the French and Spanish terrorist group Eta will help to slow the destruction of the regime.

    Eve 6 to perform New Year's Eve In Manhattan

        Platinum recording artist Eve 6 is scheduled to headline the sixth-annual “Little Apple New Year’s Eve” Dec. 31 in Aggieville.     The Union Program Council is sponsoring the concert, which will be free to the public. Full story
