Last week, I was sitting on a blanket at Jazz in June enjoying the nice weather, friends and a little background music. With thousands of people milling about, it's easy to tune out the crowd. The other morning I woke up to my new puppy, Penny, licking my toes, trying to wake me up to take her outside. I smirked and petted her for a second, and then leaned off the bed to put my slippers on.
