Seniors Angie Lastra, Stacey Spiegelberg and Lauren Rosenthal have just one match left to play at Ahearn Field House.
The No. 12 Wildcats will play host to Colorado on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Night.
With two matches left this season, coach Suzie Fritz said her team is fatigued and ready for some time off next week.
"We are barely practicing right now," Fritz said. "We are trying to get by with as little as we can. (We are) trying to prepare through film more than actual repetition."
K-State defeated Colorado 3-2 earlier this season. The Buffaloes have struggled since Big 12 Conference play began, going 1-16 in the league and 6-19 overall. Colorado has played 10 five-game matches this season and lost all 10.
Though the Buffaloes have just won one conference match this year, K-State leads Colorado 12-8 in the last 20 matches. Colorado leads the overall series 25-17 and defeated K-State twice last season.
Fritz always has spoken highly of Lastra and said she remains vital to her team.
"She is not just important to the chemistry of this team, but the success of this team," Fritz said. "She is unreal."
Lastra will leave the team this season as the all-time digs leader in K-State history. She has recorded 20 or more digs in 13 matches this season and 33 in her career.
With the NCAA tournament approaching, Fritz said her team still is working to increase its level of play.
"We are playing well enough to win matches but not well enough to win the big ones down the road," Fritz said.
Kelsey Chipman especially has proved successful against the Buffaloes. Last season, Chipman recorded a career-high 20 kills and 15 blocks at Colorado. Earlier this season, she recorded a season-high 16 kills and 11 blocks.
Fritz said her players are working especially hard because of their schoolwork and volleyball schedule.
"They've got a lot going on with classes and everything else," Fritz said. "We haven't had a bye for a month. We just need a break."
