Another theft at Haymaker Hall was reported to campus police this weekend, according to K-State Police reports.

Police were called after a female resident reported four laptops were stolen from her room. This is the third reported theft from Haymaker Hall in as many weeks.

Capt. Donald Stubbings of the campus police said the recent incidents are unrelated.

"Often thefts come in groups where someone finds an easy target, such as an unlocked room," Stubbings said.

Stubbings also called the incidents "crimes of opportunity" and said the perpetrators will continue stealing until they are caught or run out of things to steal.

Also over the weekend, K-State Police were called out to the scene of two medical emergencies, and both incidents ended with the subjects refusing medical attention.

The first occurred at Weber Hall; police were alerted when a woman began having seizures. When EMS arrived, the woman was out of her seizure state and declined transport in the ambulance.

The second incident occurred at Moore Hall. Police were called when a student had an allergic reaction. The student was found vomiting and refused EMS treatment, saying the vomiting was caused by some food eaten earlier in the day.

Parking lot B17 was also of interest to police when they received a call about a hit and run. Bystanders reported a black Chevy Silverado was hit by another car and the driver of the car did not stop.
